OmeLiveChat / Community Guidelines
Last updated September 25, 2026Community Guidelines
OmeLiveChat works because strangers treat each other decently. These guidelines apply to every video, voice and text chat and to every profile and message.
What we want to see
- Friendly openers and real questions.
- Respect for people from every country, culture and background.
- Clear "no" treated as a full answer. If someone wants to leave, let them.
- Your own face on camera in video mode, not a pointed-at-the-ceiling feed.
What gets you removed
- Anyone under 18, or any content involving minors. Zero tolerance, reported to authorities.
- Nudity or sexual acts on camera, or sexual messages to people who did not ask for them.
- Harassment, threats, hate speech or bullying.
- Recording or screenshotting people and sharing it.
- Scams, requests for money or gift cards, and advertising.
- Violence, self-harm content or anything illegal.
How to report
Every chat screen has a report button. Use it as soon as something crosses a line; you can tap next first and report second. Reports go to our moderation team, who can warn, restrict or remove accounts. False or spiteful reports are themselves a violation.
Protect yourself
Keep your full name, address, school, workplace and social handles private with people you just met. Never send money. If someone pushes you to move to another app straight away, be careful. Read more safety tips in our guide on how to video chat.
