OmeLiveChat connects adults for live video, voice and text chat at omelivechat.com. Connecting people means some information passes through our systems. This page explains what that information is, why we need it and what control you have over it.

Information we keep

We aim to keep only what running the service actually requires. That includes:

Account details: your nickname, the sign-in method you chose (such as an email address or a Google account), the age you confirmed and your settings.
Profile content you add yourself, such as a photo, a short bio, and the people you follow or who follow you.
Messages you send on OmeLiveChat, including typed messages during a match and direct messages.
Match history: when each chat happened, which mode it used (video, voice or text) and roughly how long it lasted.
Purchase records for coins and VIP, plus the payment confirmation our payment provider sends us. Full card numbers stay with that provider.
Reports you file, reports filed about you, and notes our moderators add while reviewing them.
Technical information such as browser and device type, an approximate region based on your IP address, and error logs that help us fix problems.

Your camera and microphone

Video and audio travel live between you and your match. We do not routinely record ordinary conversations. When a chat is reported, moderators may review material attached to the report, for example typed messages or a still image, to decide whether our rules were broken.

Your browser controls camera and microphone access. OmeLiveChat only uses them after you allow it, and you can withdraw that permission in your browser settings at any time. Text mode never needs them.

To match you with other people and keep chats running smoothly.
To keep your coins, VIP status and settings attached to your account.
To review reports, enforce our community guidelines and keep minors off the service.
To prevent fraud, spam and abuse of the Reward Center.
To understand, in aggregate, how the service is used so we can improve it.

When information is shared

OmeLiveChat does not sell anyone's personal data, full stop. We share limited data with providers who help us operate the service, such as hosting, video delivery and payment companies, and only for that purpose. We may also disclose information when the law requires it or when it is necessary to protect someone from serious harm.

The people you chat with see your nickname, country and whatever you choose to show or say. Please think before sharing anything personal.

How long information stays with us

We keep account data while your account is active. Match logs and technical logs are kept for a limited period and then deleted or anonymised. Records connected to reports, safety investigations or payments may be kept longer where needed to protect users or meet legal obligations.

Your choices

You can edit your profile, change your settings and withdraw camera or microphone access at any time. To request a copy of your data or delete your account, email [email protected] from the address linked to your account or tell us your nickname, and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Adults only

OmeLiveChat is only for people aged 18 or over. We never knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we learn that a minor has created an account, we close it.
