OmeLiveChat is a video chat app for people who want to meet people they don't know yet, and you don't have to install it. Open it in your phone or computer browser, press start, and an online video call with someone new begins. Add it to your home screen and it opens like any other app.

  • Works on iPhone, Android & desktop
  • Video, voice or text
  • Nothing to install
  • Free to start

Video Call Someone New, Not Someone in Your Contacts

OmeLiveChat is for a video call with someone you've never met, not with someone in your contacts. If you want to see your sister, your kids or an old friend abroad, your phone's built-in video calling is the better tool. It already knows your contacts and does the job well.

OmeLiveChat is for the other kind of call: the one with a person you've never met. There's no contact list and no number to dial. You press start and you're matched with one person you don't know yet, so every call is a real video chat with a stranger. It isn't a work meeting tool or a video chat platform for teams either. Most apps that let you video call people you don't know begin with a store download and a phone number check; this is live video chat that begins when the page loads.

Video Calling in Four Steps

Video calling on OmeLiveChat takes four steps: open the site, pick a mode, allow camera and mic, and meet one person. It uses tools every modern browser already ships with, so there's no plug-in. The short version is below; our video chat how-to covers light, sound and the fixes for a black screen or a silent mic.

  1. Open the site

Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox. For guests it's a video chat, no sign up needed.

  2. Pick a mode

Video, voice or text, chosen before the match.

  3. Allow camera and mic

The browser asks once, for this site only.

  4. Meet one person

Talk, or tap next for someone else.

Video Call Apps: Which Kind Do You Need?

The right video call app depends on who's on the other end: someone you know, or someone you haven't met. Most good video chat apps are built around a contact list, while video chat sites made for meeting strangers work the other way round. So before you compare features, answer one question: are you calling someone you already know, or hoping to meet someone you haven't met? The two need very different video call apps.

Free video call app, and where coins come in

Most apps for free video calls are free because they only connect you with your contacts. A free online video chat with strangers works differently here. You can start a video chat free: video and voice matches include free matches, the Reward Center adds extra rewards several times a day while you're online, and coins come only from top-ups you choose, with nothing charged to your card automatically. How free time turns into paid time is explained on the 1-on-1 video chat page.

Online Video Chat as a Web App: What You Skip

Online video chat in a browser behaves like an app without being one. Nothing is stored on your phone beyond the ordinary data a browser keeps for any site. Nothing keeps running once the tab is closed, so there's no background battery drain. Camera and microphone permission belongs to this one site, not to an app that sits on your phone for months.

You give up very little by making a web video call instead of installing something, and video chatting in a tab feels the same once it starts. Put it on your home screen (steps below) and it opens from its own icon, much like a video calling mobile app, minus the install and the updates. Delete the icon and it's gone.

Which phones and browsers work

Safari on iPhone and iPad, Chrome on Android, and Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari on a laptop or desktop. To video chat online you need a front camera, a microphone and a steady Wi-Fi or mobile data connection. A late-night video call on mobile data is fine; long calls are kinder to your data plan on Wi-Fi.

A Video Calling and Chatting App in One

You pick video, voice or text before each match, so the same video calling and chatting app covers voice and video calls as well as plain typed chat with a stranger. Tired, in bed, or sharing a room? Voice or text keeps the camera out of it.

Typing isn't only a separate mode. In video chats you can send text messages too, handy for spelling a name or sharing the title of the song you just mentioned. Every message in the video call chat box has a translate button next to it.

Face Call Setup on Your Home Screen

To get a face call one tap away, add OmeLiveChat to your home screen; the steps for iPhone and Android are below, and the icon opens straight into a face to face chat with someone new. Mid-call you can type, send a gift, follow, switch your camera off or tap next, which ends the call for both of you. The full list of in-call tools lives on the 1-on-1 video chat page; this section is about the home-screen icon and keeping your camera settings under your control.

iPhone and iPad (Safari)

Open OmeLiveChat in Safari and tap the Share button, the square with an arrow pointing up. Scroll the menu, tap Add to Home Screen, keep or edit the name, then tap Add. The icon lands on your home screen next to your other apps. To remove it, press and hold the icon and choose to remove or delete it.

Android (Chrome)

Open the site in Chrome and tap the three-dot menu at the top right. Choose Add to Home screen, or Install app if Chrome offers that instead, and confirm. Remove it later the same way you remove any icon: press and hold, then drag it away or tap remove.

Reset or take back camera and mic permission

Camera and microphone permission is saved per site, so you can change it for OmeLiveChat without touching anything else.

Safari on iPhone: with the site open, tap the page settings button at the left of the address bar (it shows as "aA" on most iOS versions), open Website Settings, and set Camera and Microphone to Ask, Deny or Allow. Safari on a Mac: Safari menu, Settings, Websites tab, then Camera or Microphone, and change the setting next to the site.

Chrome on Android: three-dot menu, Settings, Site settings, then Camera or Microphone, and pick the site from the list. Chrome on a computer: click the icon at the left of the address bar and switch Camera or Microphone off, or use Reset permissions so the next call asks again.

Video Chat Around the World

You can't choose a match by country or ethnicity on OmeLiveChat; every video call is random for everyone. There's no way to set up an asian video chat on purpose here, and it's better to say so up front. A latina video call can't be requested either, because no country or ethnicity filter exists.

What you get instead is a mix you can't plan. Nobody can promise an african video chat on the next tap, and the person after a match in Manila could just as easily be in Bogotá, Caracas or Ohio; you find out when their camera comes on. When a match types in Spanish, Tagalog or Korean, the translate button next to their message turns it into something you can answer, and that's often how a conversation gets past hello. Hoping for Americans in particular? Timing is the only lever, and the chat USA page works it out by time zone.

How Does an Online Video Call Work Here?

An online video call here is a live one-to-one call you start from a browser tab, with someone you haven't met yet. No contact list, no phone number, nothing to install: choose video, press start, and the call opens as soon as the queue finds a match. It's free to start, and the whole thing stays inside the page.

That makes it an odd fit next to the usual calling apps, which are built for reaching people you already know. This one does the opposite. Online video calling here means a stranger who's up at the same hour you are, on a phone or a laptop, through whatever browser you already use.

Live video call online, free to start

A live video call online starts on free matches, each with its own timer. A few seconds before it turns into paid time you get a notice, and then it's your call: stay on coins, or tap next and pay nothing. The Reward Center adds free matches several times a day while you're online. It isn't an unlimited free video call, though. Longer calls and direct calls run on coins you chose to buy.

Girl video call app, or just the browser?

Search for a girl video call app and you'll find plenty that want a subscription before the first hello. You can skip that step. Open the site, pin it to your home screen if an icon helps, and you've got live girls on the Who's online list plus a random queue for everyone else. Random matches can be a girl or a guy; calling a girl you picked from the list is a direct call and uses coins.

Picking a video call app with girls: three checks

Three things, mostly. One person per call, so nobody is performing for a room. A report button both sides can see. And pricing you can read before the timer runs out, so you know whether staying costs anything. That last one is where many girls video call apps go quiet, which is why the free part and the paid part are laid out step by step on the 1 on 1 video call page.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Is OmeLiveChat an app or a website?

A website that works like a video calling app. Open it in your browser to video chat, or add it to your home screen for an icon. Nothing gets installed on your device.

Does it work in my phone browser?

Yes. Use Safari on iPhone or Chrome on Android, allow the camera and microphone when asked, and press start. Add to Home Screen gives you an app icon.

Can I use it to video call my family?

It isn't built for that. There are no contacts to dial; every call is with someone new. For family and friends, use your phone's built-in video calling.

Can I choose between a voice call and video call?

Yes. Pick video, voice or text before each match. In a video call you can also switch your camera off, and your match sees that your video is off.

Is OmeLiveChat a free video chat app?

It's free to start. Video and voice matches include free matches, and the Reward Center adds extra rewards several times a day. Coins come only from top-ups you choose.

How do I stop the site using my camera?

Change the camera and microphone permission for this site in your browser: the "aA" page settings in Safari on iPhone, or the icon beside the address bar in Chrome. Nothing is installed, so there's nothing else to remove.

Can I get a free video chat without registration?

Yes. Guests can open the site and press start without signing up or logging in, and video matches include free matches. The browser asks once for camera and microphone access for this site, and that's the only setup before your first call.

What is the best video call app with girls?

Depends what you want. For one-to-one calls with no install, live girls you can pick from a list and a clear notice before paid time, OmeLiveChat does that from the browser. For group calls or calling people you already know, a regular calling app suits you better.

Do I need to download an app to video call girls?

No. It all runs in your phone or laptop browser. Open Who's online to see girls who are live, or press start for a random match. Adding the site to your home screen gives you an app icon without installing anything.

Is it a private video chat or a group call?

Private and one to one. Each private video call connects you with a single match, with no group room and no audience. Your match sees your camera, so keep personal details out of the frame, and use the report button if something feels off.
